Hesi Glowacki

Hesi Glowacki’s work focuses on themes that encompass memory, spirituality, ritual and ceremony, as well as queer mythologies.

Through the play between abstraction and figuration, he explores the connections between the body and nature, the internal and the external,

the sacred and the mundane, and materialization and transcendence. Spanning influences from alchemy and religion, literary allusion,

and popular culture, Glowacki sets the cycles of destruction and repair.

Through the unique use of language, materials, and techniques, he asks questions about the role ritual plays in contemporary experience,

and about the nature of things and their transformation.
